June 28

•At 8:08 p.m., a woman reported an injured goose at W10788 566th Ave., Prescott. It flew away when police arrived.

•A deputy assisted Warden Kosin with a warrant arrest at 12:09 p.m. at County Road G and Highway 72, Elmwood.

•Police responded at 1:04 p.m. to N8784 1090th St., River Falls, because people couldn’t get a hold of a family member. A man was found deceased in the residence.

•At 7:06 p.m., police were sent to take care of a downed tree across the road on 320th Avenue, Hager City. The town chair also responded and they cut up and removed the tree.

•Officers responded at 9:02 p.m. to N3198 875th St., Hager City, for an unwanted person. The person was served a TRO and deputies remained on scene until the woman left on foot.

•At 10:55 p.m., officers were called to Nelson and River Wood drives in Elmwood for a report of someone stuck and causing a disturbance. When police arrived, it looked like construction equipment had been stuck on private property. No one was around.

•Police responded at 11:02 p.m. to N353 Sabin Ave., Spring Valley, where a woman said her vehicle was taken without permission. She said she had given permission earlier, but had told the suspect he couldn’t take it. The suspect was contacted and told to return the vehicle; he said he would within the hour. He was also told to return the keys.

June 29

•At 1:45 a.m., police saw a vehicle stop along the road at highways 10 and 63 and the female driver get out. A man became upset with police when they asked what was going on. He said the woman was scared to drive at night.

•At 2:20 a.m., a woman called police from N353 Sabin Ave., Spring Valley, and said her car keys had not been returned; she wanted the suspect arrested. The suspect, her son, said he gave the keys back when he returned home. She was advised of the eviction process and how arrests work; they were told to go to bed and leave each other alone.

•At 10:46 a.m., a caller reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the area of 1445 N. Acres Road (Prescott) on June 28 and 29. The vehicle had been stopped before and produced a U.S. Postal Service ID. Prescott Post Office verified the delivery driver’s ID.

•At 11:27 a.m., a business at N3941 Highway 35, Prescott, called to report a vehicle had been on fire there, but it was now out and no response was needed.

•Police responded at 11:44 a.m. to N3376 Highway 63, Hager City, for a mailbox struck by a vehicle. Police collected a mirror from the suspect vehicle.

•At 2:16 p.m., a complainant and child reported a red truck honking at them while they were biking near Highway 65 and County Road W, River Falls. They moved over but one of the children wiped out. The truck continued on.

•At 3:57 p.m., a man at W7320 130th Ave., Hager City, reported a pet parrot flew up to him. He was told to call the town chair.

•Police responded at 4:34 p.m. to N1494 810th St., Hager City, for an intoxicated man. He was given a courtesy ride and cited by mail for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia.

•Police located a vehicle that had just gone off the road at 5:01 p.m. near N7277 Highway 65, River Falls. The vehicle had no damage. Police talked to the driver about answering the phone while driving.

•At 7:55 p.m., police received a report of a juvenile punching a window of a car at County Road QQ/Highway 10. Police located the juvenile walking away from the car. The juvenile was made because his mom wouldn’t take him back to his girlfriend’s house to get his phone. Police made him apologize to his mother on scene.

June 30

•At 8:08 a.m., police received a dog bite complaint that had occurred at 7:30 a.m. in front of W11149 County Road M, River Falls. The dog owner was issued quarantine paperwork.

•At 9:34 a.m., police located a driver at highways 29 and 63 near Martell per the request of St. Croix County for a welfare check. The man was not suicidal, but was trying to get his wife to admit she was cheating on him, he said.

•At 3:09 p.m., a complainant informed police of a stolen catalytic converter from a Ford F350 at N1805 785th St., Hager City.

•At 4:14 p.m., police were sent to 1003 First St., Plum City, for a parking complaint. Police arrested the vehicle owner on a warrant.

•Police were sent at 4:34 p.m. to N6612 Highway 65, Beldenville, for a vehicle fire in a driveway. The fire was out when police arrived.

•At 8:05 p.m., a woman reported a stolen flag at N8495 850th St., River Falls.

•At 10:31 p.m., deputies assisted Goodhue County deputies with traffic control on the Wisconsin/ Minnesota bridge, where a dangerous number of mayflies was reported. MnDOT sent plow trucks to remove the insects.

July 1

•At 7:30 a.m., police assisted in getting cattle back into their field at 570th Avenue and County Road BB, Ellsworth.

•At 5:58 p.m., police were dispatched to check the area of County Road A and Highway 35 near Maiden Rock for a vehicle that was reportedly launching bottle rockets at a moving motorcycle. The vehicle was not found.

•A catalytic converter theft was reported at 7:20 p.m. at W3206 450th Ave., Maiden Rock.

•At 8:54 p.m., a caller reported a peacock near the roadway at N8117 County Road CC, Spring Valley. The bird left the road and went home to roost.

July 2

•At 1:24 p.m., a caller reported a lost phone that showed its location to be at an address in Bay City. Police contacted the property owner, who escorted police to a shed where the phone was located. It was returned to the owner. The man who found the phone told police he had located it near Enberg’s at the stop sign off County Road K.

•At 11:56 p.m., police saw a vehicle driving erratically and attempted to stop it near W10225 County Road FF, River Falls. The vehicle did not stop and police began a pursuit. The vehicle later stopped and the driver was arrested for resisting/ failing to stop and operating without a valid license.

July 3

•Deputies responded to an assault no longer in progress at 2:53 a.m. at N1090 825th St., Hager City. An unknown man injured several people at bar close. Only one victim chose to givea statement.

•A theft was reported at 4:13 p.m. at W11199 Highway 35, Prescott.

•At 5:21 p.m., RF police requested deputies make contact with a man at 302 S. Main St., River Falls, and serve him trespassing paperwork.

•An anonymous caller reported kitchen workers working in extreme heat at 5:46 p.m. at N673 825th St., Hager City. Police checked the location and noted open doors with fans running and a window air conditioner.

•At 9:29 p.m., police responded to W11149 County Road M, River Falls, for an active domestic. A complainant said he and his brother got into a physical fight. EMS evaluated the complainant; the brother fled into a nearby wood line and was later apprehended. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery.

•At 11:11 p.m., police responded to 840th Avenue/County Road F, River Falls, for a report of a man passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. The man was arrested for OWI-first, operating without a valid license-third, possession of open intoxicants and prohibited alcohol concentration.

July 4

•Deputies located a man with an active felony warrant at 5:30 a.m. at Wasson Lane and Wildcat Court in River Falls. He was arrested and taken to RFPD.

•At 10 a.m., police were given information about a dog bite at W7611 County Road V, Ellsworth.

•At 12:30 p.m., police responded to N7317 820th St., River Falls, for an unwanted person. No one was found in the residence.

•At 4:43 p.m., police responded to W10356 Highway 29, River Falls, for a fire alarm. No one was on scene and everything appeared locked up.

•A possible break-in was reported at 6:24 p.m. at N1806 County Road K, Hager City. Nothng was missing.

•Deputies received a fireworks complaint at 9:42 p.m. at N8250 950th St., River Falls. No fireworks were located.

•A fireworks complaint was made at 9:48 p.m. near Lilac Avenue/Windflower Street in River Falls. No fireworks were located.

•Police spoke with many groups of people at 10:10 p.m. at Reynolds Street and Meadows Drive in River Falls about shooting off fireworks. They agreed to cease.

•Deputies assisted Ellsworth Fire with a tree on fire at 11:01 p.m. at N673 825th St., Hager City.

July 5

•At 1:15 a.m., police responded to the Mississippi River in Maiden Rock for two missing swimmers. The swimmers were located and brought in from the river.

•At 1:54 a.m., police responded to W7434 Highway 65, Beldenville, to a possible domestic with shots fired. Both parties were interviewed and denied shots were fired.

•Police located an intoxicated man walking in the middle of the road at 4:28 a.m. at Highway 63 and 810th Street South in Hager City. He was trying to walk home. Police gave him a courtesy ride.

•Vandalism/criminal damage to property was reported at 10:34 a.m. at 416 Maple Ave. W. in Plum City.

•Police responded at 11:28 a.m. to N7478 690th St., Beldenville, to assist with CPR. A man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

•At 1:13 p.m., deputies assisted RF police with a missing person report at 2361 Rangeview Lane. A 79-year-old man failed to return from his morning walk.

•At 3:14 p.m., police responded to W7375 170th Ave., Hager City, for a woman who was found with no pulse and not breathing.

•Police responded to a possible domestic at 7:19 p.m. at W3936 330th Ave., Ellsworth. Both parties said everything was fine and did not want to provide statements.

•A loose horse was reported at 10:40 p.m. at W3880 850th Ave., Spring Valley. The horse was found and put back in its pasture; the fence was fixed.

July 6

•At 2:22 a.m., police responded to a domestic incident at N1582 County Road C, Bay City. A woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and strangulation and suffocation.

•At 7:41 a.m. a Silver Alert was issued for a missing man from River Falls.
