ELLSWORTH – September is Library Card Sign-up Month. Stop in and get a library card or create a “Why I Love My Library Card” mini-poster in the Makerspace.

The library will be closed on Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day.

On display: Melodie Needham: Watercolors through Oct. 28. Watch for something new coming to the local history room display case soon.

Storytime - Fridays at 10:10 a.m. Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29 in the Storytime Playspace

Stitchin' Time Crafters - Wednesdays starting at 10 a.m. Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27.

Tech Time: 10:30 a.m. Sept. 11 in the Study Room. Get one-on-one assistance from our tech expert, Barb. Call the library for an appointment time. Barb will be available for three half-hour time slots every second Monday of each month.

Discover Together Tuesday: 11 a.m. Sept. 12 at Ellsworth Senior Center (312 W. Main St.) This month we welcome Wisconsin author, Mike O'Connor, who will talk about his new book called "Badger Aces: Wisconsin Fighter Aces." He will share how one becomes an ace pilot and some of the stories of the over 40 Wisconsin pilots who have earned this honor, including Ellsworth's own "Ace" Roger A. Haberman. A luncheon sponsored by the Ellsworth Senior Center and the Friends of the Library will follow.

Morning Book Club: 10:30 a.m. Sept. 14 in the Library Meeting Room. This month we will discuss “Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder.”

No Robotics this month - we'll be back Oct. 21

Therapy Dog Maggie: 4 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Library Meeting Room. Call the library for an appointment time to sit, read, or spend one-on-one time with Maggie.

LEGO at the Library: 3:30-5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Makerspace

Community Book Club: 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21 in the Library Meeting Room. We will discuss “Someone Else’s Shoes.”
