ELLSWORTH – The 11th Free Community Clothing Exchange will take place on Saturday, March 8 in the Zion Covenant Church Community Center (210 N. Beulah St., Ellsworth).
Drop off your gently used (still wearable) clothing from newborn to adult sizes between 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5 or 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 6. Volunteers will organize clothing based on size; labeling bags with sizes helps volunteers in the sorting process. Those who drop off items will get a ticket to “shop” first on Saturday morning.
Ticket holder shopping will be open 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 8. The exchange is then open to the public from 10 a.m. to noon. Bags and boxes will be available, but feel free to bring your own as well.
No fee or donation is required to “shop.” Items left over will be donated to a local charity (Basics for Local Kids, Our Neighbors’ Place, Bethel’s Basement Blessings, etc.)
Shoes, boots, jackets and books are also welcome. Please do not bring furniture, toys, bedding or other household items.
Please like the event on Facebook at “Ellsworth Community Clothing Exchange.” Let organizers know if you’d like this event to continue.
Contact Dawn Benoy at dawnnajuliet@hotmail.com with any questions. The Community Center use kindly donated by Zion Covenant Church. This event is run by local volunteers/working parents.
