It might not feel like Spring, but that doesn’t mean it’s not here – event-wise, at least. Pierce County schools will be bedecked and bedazzled the next two weekends for junior proms. Grand marches are open to the public this year, so parents and grandparents can snap as many photos as they want.
Here’s a rundown of area schools’ prom events: Ellsworth
The theme for the 2022 Ellsworth High School prom promises to bring Spring to mind with its “enchanted garden” theme and sage and lavender theme colors on Saturday, April 30.
Photos will kick off festivities at 3:30 p.m. at EHS with photos. Doors will open for spectators at 4:30 p.m., followed by a 5 p.m. grand march. Students will then board a bus and head to the dinner and dance at the Little Log House Pioneer Village in Hastings, Minn.
The grand march will include the annual awards ceremony for titles such as “Mr. Comedy” or “Ms. Hilarious.” The winners will be revealed the evening of prom.
Volunteers are welcome to help decorate 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 29. Also take down after Grand March.
Elmwood/Plum City Elmwood and Plum City high schools will again hold a joint prom on Saturday, April 23 at Barn Again Lodge (S683 Lovely Road, Mondovi). Students will board the bus in Elmwood at 5 p.m. and head to the venue, where they’ll enjoy a pizza and dessert buffet.
