HUDSON – St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity (SCVHFH) welcomed Carrie McNamara to its Board of Directors at its September meeting. McNamara is a long-time volunteer with SCVHFH, building homes and serving on the organization’s gala committee.

“I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve on the St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity board,” McNamara said.  “I’m passionate about building strong communities and believe everyone deserves access to safe, affordable housing. Being part of an organization that creates real change through compassion, collaboration, and hands-on work is something that truly resonates with my values.”

As a Business Banking Officer with Royal Credit Union, McNamara serves clients in New Richmond, River Falls, Somerset, Hudson, and surrounding areas, and says she enjoys helping small businesses find the best solutions for their lending needs. She also serves as a board member for the St. Croix Economic Development Corporation and the ReNew Richmond, a downtown New Richmond revitalization initiative.

“We are proud to have Carrie share her gifts and talents with our board and staff,” SCVHFH Board President Clark Schroeder said. “Her background and local involvement with the community will be a great asset as we continue to work with more families in need of safe, healthy, affordable housing.”

SCVHFH is currently building homes in New Richmond and Ellsworth and will celebrate 30 years helping address affordable housing needs in Pierce and St. Croix Counties at its annual gala March 28, 2026.

In 1996, community members in River Falls and surrounding communities recognized the critical need to bring people together to build housing, communities and hope and founded the local, nonprofit Habitat affiliate. In its tenure, SCV Habitat for Humanity has partnered with more than 90 families in Pierce and St. Croix counties. Visit scvhabitat.org for homeowner and volunteer information and to support the mission that puts families on the path to generational wealth.
