St. John’s United Church of Christ, “The Country Church,” hosted a Rally Sunday on Sept. 14. Members gathered to celebrate the 165th anniversary of the church, honoring those who have worshipped and served throughout the years. During the service the children received Bibles, and a new class of confirmands received their study guides. The service ended with an indoor balloon release, outdoor games for the children, fellowship for the adults and a wonderful dinner for all.
For 30 years, St. John’s has celebrated its German tradition with an annual Schwein & Kraut dinner which is open to the public. Come celebrate the 30th anniversary of St. John’s German Dinner. It is always held on Election Day. This year mark your calendars for 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 at N5496 County Road QQ, Prescott.
