RIVER FALLS – Stage and Screen Productions at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls will present a free staged reading of “10 Out of 12” March 7-8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanford Syse Black Box Theatre in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building.
The production is written by award-winning playwright Anne Washburn. Doors open at 7 a.m.
’10 Out of 12” is a detailed, realistic show depicting an all-night technical rehearsal at a small, unnamed downtown theater. It is based on notes that Washburn took during her tech rehearsals through the years.
The staged reading is directed by UW-River Falls Stage and Screen Arts alum Devon Sundt. The event’s audience gets a behind-the-scenes view of a production company creating a new play in real time. “10 Out of 12” is not a fully staged production.
The cast includes UW-River Falls students Katrina Hunton of Plum City; Parker Miellce of Ramsey, Minn.; Isabella Peterson of New Prague, Minn.; Klara Fansler of Osceola; Max Heinz of Buffalo City; Karyn Wood of Spring Valley; Saga Jakupacak of Hudson; and Katie Cink of Cleveland, Minn.
