Stagehands in rehearsal for ‘The Little Prince’

SPRING VALLEY – A Stagehands cast and crew is excitedly preparing for the production of “The Little Prince,” which will run in July.

“The Little Prince,” by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, is a play adapted from the popular children’s book of the same name by Antoine de Saint Exupery. This imaginative story follows an aviator who has crash-landed in the desert and meets an extraordinary, imaginative, Little Prince. The Little Prince left his home planet in search of adventure and wisdom in the universe, but finds so much more. The aviator helps the Little Prince understand the importance of responsibility and growing up, but the Little Prince reminds the Aviator how important it is to view the world with an open mind and to never let go of one’s childhood imagination. In a world of black and white, this strange friendship teaches us to stop and smell the roses and to always appreciate the beautiful hues of a sunset.

Directed by Ethan and Lee Hayes, show dates are at 7:30 p.m. July 21, 22, 28 and 29; with 2 p.m. matinees on July 23 and 30. Plan now to join the Spring Valley Stagehands for this charming and uplifting show. As usual, tickets will be available at www.svstagehands.org and at the door the day of each show.
