Receiving Water And Location: Isabelle Creek in the Trimbelle and Isabelle Creek Watershed of the Lower Chippewa River Basin in Pierce County Brief Facility Description: This facility receives approximately 1,825,000 pounds of milk each day and processes approximately 1,700,000 pounds of milk per day into cheddar cheese, whey powder and cream. digester. New operational changes since the last permit term include hauling high strength wastewater consisting of salt whey and separator desludge to GreenWhey Energy in Turtle Lake, WI. Approximately 129 dry US tons of sludge are produced annually at the facility and are land applied on approved agricultural sites. The majority of sanitary wastes (99%) except for one bathroom are sent and treated at the Village of Ellsworth wastewater treatment plant. Changes from the previous permit include: 1) changing the in-plant sample point 101 sample type from grab to 24hr timed composite, 2) reducing the in-plant sample point 102 phosphorus limit from 2.0 mg/L to 1.0 mg/L 12-month rolling a Yerage 4 1 new lower ef uent Shos Shorus interim limits associ ated with an approved multi-discharger variance for phosphorus (MDV) and compliance schedules to comply with s. 283.16, is.
