ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth Public Library invites families to travel back thousands of years with The Mammoth Hunter at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 30 in Summit Park, Ellsworth.
Led by educator and primitive skills expert Sean, the Mammoth Hunter, this unique hands-on program brings prehistoric Wisconsin to life. Participants will examine museum-quality replicas of fossils and artifacts, discover the remarkable survival skills of our ancient ancestors, and experience an exciting reenactment of a woolly mammoth hunt similar to those that took place in Wisconsin thousands of years ago.
Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions, explore displays up close, and take memorable photos during this interactive and educational experience.
Sean Flint Knapping, based in Central Wisconsin, is an educator, primitive skills expert, and experiential archaeology consultant. For nearly a decade, he has shared the fascinating story of our Stone Age ancestors through engaging, family-friendly programs that combine history, archaeology, and hands-on learning.
This free program is hosted by the Ellsworth Public Library as part of its 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unleash a Story.” Families of all ages are welcome to attend.
