ELLSWORTH – The Summer Fun Series is returning to East End Park on 5-7 p.m. on Thursdays this summer, providing entertainment, food and activities in tandem with the Ellsworth Farmers Market.

The event will kick off Thursday, June 3 at 5 p.m., with fan favorite singer Colleen Raye performing at 6 p.m. She will be singing old and new favorites until 7 p.m. Look for fun family entertainment from St. Francis School and Brush Strokes, delectable delights from The Hungry Badger food truck and rumor has it, free cookies from Subway.

Committee member Elise Gregory hinted at upcoming surprises to look forward to, such as a “touch a truck” event, a popular country western band, and an artist in the park / young musicians’ night.

“Let’s gather together safely,” Gregory said. “It’ll be good to see everyone again!”

The Summer Fun Series is always looking for live musical acts, business sponsors or food trucks to complete the offerings throughout the summer. The event is put on by the Ellsworth E3 Community Development Corporation.

Keep up-to-date on weekly Summer Fun Series news by following the Ellsworth E3 CDC Facebook page. The event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather (high winds, etc.), though drizzle and rain won’t hinder the fun.

The Summer Fun Series will take two breaks this summer: Thursday, June 24 (in order for Cheese Curd unFestival to be set up) and the week of the Pierce County Fair.
