TOWN OF CADY – One man is dead and another man is hurt after a rollover crash Sunday in the town of Cady.
According to a St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office news release, 55-year-old Timothy Boardman of Spring Valley died after the crash, reported to officials at 10:38 p.m. Jan. 15 at highways 29 and 128 about two miles northeast of Spring Valley.
Boardman was heading west on Highway 29 and left the roadway near 128. The vehicle rolled and Boardman was ejected, becoming trapped beneath the vehicle. The St. Croix County Medical Examiner pronounced him dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
A 51-year-old male passenger was extricated from the vehicle and flow to Mayo Hospital in Menomonie with undisclosed injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
United Fire (Baldwin, Hammond, Woodville), Spring Valley Fire, Wisconsin State Patrol, Baldwin Medic and Life Link Helicopter assisted St. Croix County at the scene. The crash remains under investigation. Boardman’s death was St. Croix County’s first 2023 traffic fatality
