SPRING VALLEY – The Spring Valley Free Community Clothing Exchange will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5 at the Brother Michael Center (S104 Sabin Ave., Spring Valley).
Anyone can participate and people don’t need to donate to be able to attend.
To donate items, drop off your gently used (still wearable and in good condition) clothing from newborn to adult between 4-6 p.m. Friday, April 4. Volunteers will organize clothing according to size for the event. It’s helpful to have donation bags labeled with clothing sizes if possible.
When you drop off your donation, you will receive a ticket, allowing you to participate in the early bird ticket-holder shopping from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, an hour before the event is open to the public. You must present your ticket for the early shopping.
Bags and boxes will be available to fill with items you choose, but feel free to bring your own bags as well. Any items left over after the event will be donated to a local charity.
Things you can donate include spring and summer clothing (newborn to adult), shoes and books. Do not bring bedding, furniture, toys or other household items.
Contact Lisa Fesenmaier at fesfamily@outlook.com or Tiffany Hayes at forthekidssv@gmail.com with any questions.
A clothing drive will be held in the fall for fall and winter clothing.
The Spring Valley School District band will also be hosting a fundraiser bake sale.
