OUTDOOR
was a four-point shed. Now you have to remember that I was out doing something that I didn’t think I would do this year so when I saw that horn laying in the field as if it had been waiting for me to pick it up, I was elated. Two minutes later, the day got even better. I found the other half of the rack less than one hundred yards ahead of me, laying points down.
I didn’t find any more sheds that day but I didn’t need to. It doesn’t seem like a big deal not being able to do something as simple as going out to hunt for shed antlers, until you can’t. That could really be said for everything. On this day, feeling the cool spring sunshine on me, and having a couple of antlers in my backpack, it felt like a normal day. For all of that, I am truly grateful.
