The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive in Ellsworth on July 27, 2020 from noon until 6:00 at Zion Covenant Church located at 210 N Beulah St. You must have made an appointment on line (www.redcrossblood.org). If you need to cancel a previously made appointment, please go that site and remove your name, so someone can sign-up in your place. You will need to bring with you a Rapid Pass (filled in that day) on paper,or bring it on a tablet or smart phone screen. You are required to wear a mask or one will be provided for you. Your temperature will be taken. All donors will be screened for the COVID-19 and results will be returned to them in a week to 10 days. Social distancing will be observed. if you have any of these symptoms fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath,fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting and/or diarrhea, please do not come to the drive. Only donors, volunteers and staff will be allowed on the premises.
B lood supplies are low and8 potential donors have not come out to give because of the virus. Now with the hospitals resuming previously delayed surgeries the need for blood is great.
