The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office April 1926.
April 19
•A man was arrested at 8:53 a.m. April 19 at 414 W. Main St., Ellsworth, for a felony Dakota County, Minn., warrant.
•A township reported multiple road signs taken over the weekend at 9:19 a.m. from 780th Avenue and 650th Street, Beldenville.
•Police were notified by a man at 10:22 a.m. that a neighbor drove up the complainant’s driveway at a County Road Y (River Falls) address and confronted him for turning his tractor around in the neighbor’s field. The complainant felt the neighbor was trespassing. The complainant admitted his neighbor did not have his phone number and that he did turn his tractor around in the neighbor’s field, but felt the confrontation was aggressive. The other party was to be contacted.
•Police took a report at 1:30 p.m. about two individuals who said they were assaulted at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City, on Saturday evening. Statements were collected from all involved.
•A subject was taken into custody at 3:54 p.m. after a plea sentencing hearing. Upon arrival to the jail, the subject had a positive PBT result.
April 20
•Police responded to an injured deer call at 7:02 a.m. at County Road O and Highway 65 near River Falls. The deer was dispatched and put into the west ditch.
•Police responded to a 794th Avenue address near Spring Valley at 5:13 p.m. to make contact with a man who had allegedly been harassing others. Nobody answered the door.
April 21
•Deputies assisted Spring Valley police at 10:48 a.m. at a South Sabin Avenue address with a man who was having previous relationship issues.
•A man reported hitting a medium to large, mostly white dog at 1:38 p.m. near County Road Y and Highway 63 north of Martell. Police could not locate the dog.
•Deputies were called about a sick raccoon in the road at 2:43 p.m. at 690th Street and Highway 29 near River Falls. The raccoon was dispatched.
April 22
•Police responded to an unwanted subject complaint at 9:34 a.m. at a Highway 63 address, Ellsworth. The person left before police arrived.
•Deputies responded to a truck vs. traffic sign crash at 9:48 a.m. at N7158 Highway 128, Elmwood. Photos were taken.
•Deputies assisted at a grass fire at 2:25 p.m. at W4418 370th Ave., Ellsworth.
•A pedal bike was found on a field road at 3:52 p.m. near N5824 1040th St., River Falls. No one was located in the area. The bike was moved to the complainant’s address for safekeeping.
•Deputies responded at 4:27 p.m. to W8910 570th Ave., Ellsworth, for a large amount of smoke. A homeowner was doing a controlled burn and was advised to contact dispatch and the township prior to burning in the future.
•A wanted subject was taken into custody after a traffic stop at 4:54 p.m. at Highway 63 and 825th Street South, Hager City.
April 23
•Deputies were notified at 7:22 a.m. of a possible sick raccoon in the 400 block of Cherry Avenue in Plum City. The raccoon would run when approached by people. Residents were advised to leave the animal alone unless it was being destructive.
•Police checked on a person asleep in a vehicle at 1:29 p.m. in the 1000 block of First Street in Plum City. The person had been there since before 8 a.m. The vehicle’s occupant said she stayed late at the casino and got tired on her drive home.
April 24
•A caller told police at 1:16 a.m. that she could hear an animal outside and it sounded like it was in distress and needed help, on 301st Avenue in Hager City. Police could not locate the animal.
•Police observed a vehicle parked at the boat launch at 1:51 a.m. on 825th Street in Hager City. The driver had a warrant and was arrested, but later released.
•Police were notified of a car vs. deer crash at 6:35 a.m. at 800th Avenue and Highway 65 near River Falls. No injuries were reported.
•Police assisted a farmer with a loose cow at 12:30 p.m. at 450th Avenue and County Road CC near Elmwood.
•Police were called at 2:33 p.m. about a chimney fire at W5534 290th Ave. The homeowner then advised no response was needed. Upon arrival, the owner had been able to put the fire out.
•Police took a report of a dog bite at 9:05 p.m. at W12047 846th Ave., River Falls. Quarantine paperwork was issued.
•Deputies responded to a County Road QQ address near Prescott at 10:56 p.m. for a domestic incident. A male was taken into custody for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery and intimidation of a victim.
April 25
•PCSO responded to a fight in progress call at 12:25 a.m. at W6454 Highway 35, Bay City. The subject left before police arrived.
•Police found a vehicle in the ditch at 7:21 a.m. near County Road PP and Highway 72. A man was arrested for OWI-second and cited for operating without a license and operating with open intoxicants.
•Deputies attempted to stop a driver for speeding at 4:12 p.m. at 690th Street and Highway 29 near River Falls. The driver fled on foot and was apprehended. The driver was cited for OWI-third, operating after revocation (alcohol related), and speeding. A charge was forwarded to the district attorney for resisting arrest.
•After a traffic stop for speeding at 7:25 p.m. at County Road A and Highway 35 near Maiden Rock, a driver was arrested for OWI and cited for speeding.
•After a traffic stop for a burned-out headlight at 8:56 p.m. near 830th Street and Highway 35 in Hager City, police found a case of beer in the back of the vehicle. The beer was confiscated and the driver warned.
April 26
•Maiden Rock Town Chair Jerry Duden reported he would be removing two dumped TVs at 6:25 a.m. near 120th Avenue and 452nd Street. The incident was documented.
