Pierce County’s Newspaper!

by John McLoone

Paperboy and Publisher The Journal

It was humbling and exciting to see and hear the reaction to The Journal last week.

Our bet that people still appreciate their local newspaper paid off. The Journal – Pierce County’s Newspaper – is expanding! We spent much of Friday and Monday fielding calls and emails from new subscribers.

Hey, why not join them!

Check out the form on page 2 or give me a call at 715-941-4842.

I will admit, The Journal is a work in progress. We’ve done a lot, and we’ve so much left to do.

We’re making contact with coaches and making sure to shore up our sports coverage. But you can help too! We want your community news. We want your event I found. We’re getting in touch with as many organizations as we can to get the word out. News and info can be emailed right to me.

The Journal is a throwback. I realize that. Big newspaper companies don’t do it this way anymore.

They’d rather you look at the internet so they don’t have to put a local product in your hands.

We pledge to always be PRINT FIRST.

And we pledge to always be a part of your community.
