PRESCOTT — Prescott Community Education is excited to announce that three of this year’s Destination Imagination teams have advanced to Global Finals._ Each of these teams took first place in their respective categories at the Wisconsin State Tournament, and consist of middle school students from Prescott’s Middle School and St. Joseph Parish School.
DI provides unique educational experiences across seven project-based challenge types –technical, scientific, engineering, fine arts, improvisational, service learning, and early learning._ New, open-ended team challenges are developed annually with the help of educators, subject matter experts and qualified volunteers to cover a wide range of student interests and to align with current educational standards.
Traditionally, Global Finals is an in-person event, but for the second year will be a virtual competition._To continue in the Spirit of DI, teams competing in Global Finals will be evaluated by appraisers from around the world. Teams will compete in two areas – one being their main challenge that they have worked on all season, and a second being a Fast Flex challenge where they need to solve a challenge in two weeks or less._Competition will be held throughout the month of June. Congratulations and good luck to the teams as they compete at Global Finals 2021!
