Diana Aifuth UW- Madison Extension Horticulture Outreach Specialist It may be cold and snowy outside now, but soon spring will be here and it will be time to start gardening again! Pierce/St. Croix County Extension Horticulture Outreach Specialist Diana Aifuth is offering two Zoom virtual classes to help you be successful this growing season.

“Growing Terrific Tomatoes” on Thursday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m., will cover everything home gardeners need to know to get a bountiful crop, including variety selection, seed starting, fertilizing and watering, mulching, pruning, common disease and insect issues, and harvesting. This comprehensive class will answer all your tomato-growing questions so that you can have your best crop ever.

“Getting the Most from your Vegetable Garden” on Tuesday, April 6, at 6:30 p.m., will cover all the basics needed by beginning gardeners, as well as information to help experienced gardeners solve problems and be more successful. Starting with site and soil selection and progressing through the planting, maintaining, and harvesting stages, this class will help you grow your best garden ever.

Both classes are free, but pre-registration is required. Register for each class by following the links below. Once you register, you will receive a personal link to join the actual Zoom class.
