Staff Report
The Prescott girls track team was second and the boys were fourth on May 25 at the Stan Barr Relays. Prescott’s only competition last week the Ellsworth Invitational – was cancelled.
Ellsworth’s boys and girls both took sixth at that May 25 meet in New Richmond.
This week, the Prescott and Ellsworth squads competed Tuesday at the Middle Border Conference meet in Amery. On Monday, WIAA Regionals will be held, with Prescott and Ellsworth both competing at Bloomer starting at 3:45 p.m.
The WIAA Sectional Meet is Thursday, June 17 in Osceola for qualifiers. The State Track & Field Championships are June 24-26 in LaCrosse.
At the New Richmond Meet, Prescott’s first place finishers were: The 400 meter relay team of Grace Carlson, Jessie Urman, Abby Syverson and Tori Benck in 50.46.
The 800-meter relay team of Syverson, Kennedy Braun, Carlson and Benck in 1:48.95.
Maddie Matzek with a jump of 8-00 in the pole vault.
Benck in the long jump at 19-09.75 and triple jump at 34-03.75.
The 400 throwers relay team of Damion Huppert, Justin Knott, Base Stubbe and Logan Stewart won in 50.72.
Aiden Russell in the high jump at 5-09.
Ellsworth lone first place finishers were the 800-meter relay team of Max Grand, Bo Hines, Shane Lange and Ashton Quade in 1:33.48.
