A Trimbelle man man was killed in an ATV crash Saturday in rural Pepin County.
A preliminary investigation showed that Clark L. Goodwin, 68, W4247 640th Ave., Ellsworth, died in the crash Saturday morning on Hwy. K, near the intersection of Hwy. E, outside of Stockholm, according to the Pepin County Sheriff’s Office.
The ATV Goodwin was driving was reportedly eastbound on Hwy. K. Goodwin lost control of the Artic Cat four-wheeler and crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
According to the sheriff’s department, speed was a factor in the crash, and Goodwin was not wearing a helmet.
The Lund Fire Department, Pepin Ambulance, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Mayo One Medical Helicopter assited the sheriff’s department at the accident scene.
