ELLSWORTH – Get ready for some sweet and fuzzy fun at the Third Annual Uptown Animals Fundraiser from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 7 at the Cattle Arena at the Pierce County Fairgrounds in Ellsworth. This family-friendly afternoon is packed with food, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a silent auction, plus the crowd favorite Animal Fashion Show where some very stylish animals will be ready to strut their stuff.
It’s the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon with the whole family, enjoying laughs, meeting lovable animals, and cheering on the most fashionable furry participants around. Whether you’re stopping by for the pony rides, browsing the auction items, or simply soaking up the fun atmosphere, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Come hungry, bring your friends, and get ready for a heartwarming community event that celebrates animals while supporting a great cause.
The fundraiser supports the nonprofit Elsie’s Barnyard, located at W6212 450th Ave., Ellsworth. Their mission is to restore and strengthen the hearts, minds, and souls of children and families facing adverse medical conditions, whether it be physical, mental, social, or emotional, permanent, or temporary, through interacting with animals and nature.
Mandy Fleming founded Elsie’s Barnyard in 2022 in honor of her daughter, Elsie, to provide families in Ellsworth and the surrounding area with a place to meet and interact with farm animals, hopefully providing them a break from dealing with medical appointments, medications, stress, fear and anxiety.
Guest judges for the fashion show include Pierce County Circuit Court Judge Elizabeth Rohl, Pierce County Journal Advertising Director Jack McLoone and Dr. Tia Sampair of BovEq Veterinary Services.
Early bird tickets are available online at https://app.galabid.com/elsies-barnyard-2026/items Also, more than 130 silent auction items will be featured online with bidding opening at noon June 5. You do not need to be present to bid or win.
