Donors contribute more than $95,000 to UWRF Foundation
RIVER FALLS – University of Wisconsin-River Falls donors contributed at historic levels during the UWRF Foundation’s annual Giving Day on April 8.
The grand total of more than $95,000 made it the most successful Giving Day in the event’s eight-year history.
“The significant support demonstrates our donors’ enthusiastic commitment to UWRF’s mission,” said Rick Foy, assistant chancellor for University Advancement. “On behalf of all of us at UWRF, I express deep appreciation to the many donors who made Giving Day memorable and meaningful.”
The $95,150 raised far surpassed the goal of $50,000. Nearly 160 donors contributed to a variety of UWRF funds and programs, ranging from the Falcon Annual Fund, to scholarships, to Falcon Athletics. According to Foy, several donors provided generous matching gifts, which made Giving Day contributions even more impactful.
Plans are already underway for next year’s UWRF Giving Day, scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2023.
Tax deductible gifts to the UWRF Foundation may always be made to support the university’s students, faculty, programs and projects at https://www.uwrf.edu/give/.
