RIVER FALLS – Students’ high-level research will be on display at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Undergraduate Research, Scholarly and Creative Activity (URSCA) Fall Gala on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
The annual event highlights the research and scholarly displays of undergraduates whose work include research posters, oral presentations, artwork, short films and interactive displays. About 100 students will take part in this year's event.
The public is invited to attend the event, scheduled for 4-6:30 p.m. in the Riverview Ballroom in the University Center, 501 Wild Rose Ave., River Falls. Opening remarks are scheduled for 5 p.m.
Event attendees can engage with students and learn about their research projects. Student projects cover a wide range of topics, URSCA Director Molly Gerrish said.
"This event is a highlight on campus that showcases the incredible diversity of work and depth of research of our students across all content areas,” Gerrish said.
UW-River Falls hosts the Fall Gala annually. Undergraduate students are also encouraged to present their research at state and national locations, as well as at discipline-specific conferences.
