PRESCOTT – Alicia Casale, owner of Vintage Beauty Lounge is Prescott, is opening her own salon downtown Prescott this coming spring. Casale started the process in January for her new salon, which is located at 140 Broad St.
“I have always wanted to own my own salon since I graduated from beauty school,” Casale said. “It takes time and work. You have to pay your dues and work your nights and weekends.” She did just that by running her in-home salon for the last two and a half years. Casale said she “wanted to grow,” which transpired the idea of moving downtown. Casale is ready for the change.
“I like the idea of being downtown with all the other businesses and shops. I think downtown Prescott is just taking such a beautiful turn and I am lucky and excited to be a part of all of that,” she said.
Her studio will be named Vintage Beauty Lounge. The name Vintage came from Casale’s salon in her home. Casale’s house was built in 1876.
“It’s old but I love the vintage-vibe, as far as style and aesthetic goes,” she said.
The name remains fitting for her new salon downtown, since it is in one of the older buildings and she “wanted to stick with that Vintage name.”
Prescott resident Christina Feltes, owner of Bloom Beauty, will be renting her own space within Vintage Beauty Lounge. Feltes’ services that she will offer are lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, facial waxing, and facials. Casale offers custom haircuts and colors, waxing, bridal and prom hair-and-makeup and (Halloween) costume hair-and-makeup.
Casale plans to add more services, like spray tanning, as she adapts to the new salon. She will also provide locally-made products, such as candles and jewelry, for her clients to purchase. “Once I get everything in here, I am going to build a website so that people can go on and see the services I offer, ways of contact and my portfolio,” Casale said.
Clients will be able to buy products straight from the website as well. She is currently still taking clients but her Vintage Beauty Lounge Grand Opening will be held at the end of April or beginning of May.
