Put on your best blue jeans and cowboy boots and get ready to party! Walk On Therapeutic Riding Programs, Inc. is holding its annual Fall Gala on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Pheasant Hills Golf Club in Hammond. Festivities start at 5 p.m.
“We are so excited to have Colleen Raye as our musical entertainment this year,” said Walk On Program Director Ken Giske.
There will be a social hour, barbeque dinner, silent and live auctions, and Colleen singing Patsy Cline melodies.
The Fall Gala proceeds will benefit Walk On Therapeutic Riding Programs, Inc. For 22 years, Walk On has provided individualized horseback riding related to equine-assisted activities and therapeutic riding instruction to children and adults with physical, developmental, social and emotional disabilities.
Riders participate in this wonderful program from all over the region: New Richmond and Hammond, to Hudson and Stillwater, to as far as Golden Valley, Minn. Therapeutic horsemanship improves riders’ muscle strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, sensory orientation, motor control, confidence and more!
If you would like to attend the Gala, donate to Walk On’s program or learn more about our classes, contact us at 715-425-2025 or visit: www.walkontherapeutichorsemanship.org.
