True history straight from the books, artifacts from actual shipwrecks, flags and other “tools of the trade.” Geared toward kids and families, but all are welcome. Business Etiquette

FLEX, 5:30-7 p.m., David Rodli Hall, UW-River Falls campus. Ellsworth Chamber’s FLEX group will host a networking event anchored by speaker Melissa Wilson, the UWRF director of career services. Wilson will share business etiquette tips and techniques to help you refine your professional image. She will also lead a tour of David Rodli Hall and the University Center. Family Craft Hour, 6 p.m., Prescott Public Library (800 Borner St. N) Drop-in craft events for families featuring a different themed craft each month. All materials provided, while supplies last.

Thursday, July 7 Poolside Story Time, 2:30 p.m., Klaas-Jonas Community Pool (312 Panther Drive, Ellsworth). Join Ms. Caroline from the Ellsworth Public Library for a story time during afternoon swim breaks. Subject to change based on weather or pool-related schedule changes.

Throwback Thursday Outdoor Movie Night, 9 p.m., Spring Valley Public Library (E121 Second St.) Showing “The Parent Trap.”

Summer Fun Series, 4-7 p.m., East End Park, Ellsworth. Browse a variety of farm, artisan and craft vendors at the Ellsworth Farmers Market, enjoy food from local food trucks, take part in family friendly activities and listen to live music from local bands and musicians.

Taste of River Falls,

4-8 p.m., Forestville Vines (W8101 690th Ave., River Falls). Support local businesses; sample beer, wine and spirits from all five wineries and breweries (around RF); eat delicious food from local eateries, listen to live music, purchase local products, visit with local nonprofits and enjoy games and fun activities.

Rock Elm Ice Cream Social, 4 p.m., Rock Elm United Methodist Church (N5591 170th St., Elmwood). Drive-thru or takeout only. Celebrating 127 years! Homemade pie and ice cream, bring a cooler!

Summer Park Program,

3-4 p.m., Prescott Lions Public Square Park (across from Prescott Middle School). For ages 9-14. Each week a local organization will host an activity (or more) for kids. Connect with friends and have fun. The program is free thanks to weekly sponsors. Friday, July 8 & Saturday, July 9 Fourth Annual Olson Tractor Restoration Antique Tractor Show & Farm Toy Show, 4 p.m., Olson Tractor (912 W. Winter Ave., Elmwood). All brands of tractors are welcome and represented along with many amazing toy displays. Free admission and parking. Concessions onsite by local 4-H clubs.
