Because of the Piety Street road work, many of the Ellsworth Senior Center activities and events have been relocated.
Euchre for Thursday, Oct. 23 will be held at Preferred Senior Living from 1-3 p.m. (229 W. Wayne St., Ellsworth)
Footcare with Katrina on Tuesday morning Oct. 28 beginning at 9 a.m. will be at the Ellsworth American Legion Hall, upper level (139 S. Oak St. – behind the Mexican Restaurant).
Celebrating Seniors at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 also held at the Ellsworth American Legion Hall will feature the high school students singing selections from this year’s musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” The story follows the impoverished but good-hearted Charlie Bucket, who finds a Golden Ticket to a tour of Willy Wonka's mysterious candy factory. Along with four other children, Charlie explores the factory's magical world, but the other children's greed and flaws lead to their downfall, while Charlie's inherent kindness is rewarded with an unexpected opportunity at the end. Come, perhaps learn the ending and enjoy the wonderful presentation from the students.
Every Monday and Friday from 1-4 p.m. the Pool Players continue to shoot pool at the Ellsworth Senior Center, 229 W. Main St. They park on the south side of Main Street and walk up the steps to the east door of the church. Ring the buzzer on the right side of the door and someone will come and greet you.
All seniors 50 and above are always welcome to join us at our events and get our monthly calendar of events.
One can also call the Ellsworth Senior Center at 715-273-5873 and listen to the message to find where events are located. If anyone has questions, call Phyllis at 715-821-5847.
