THE JOURNAL

Paperboy and Publisher

We’re widening our net this week, in an attempt to attract more readers to The Journal and better bring together our communities.

We’re “Pierce County’s Newspaper,” after all, as it says right at the top of this page, and we want to make sure we’re a vital link between what is happening in our communities now and what happens when we get to the “other side” of the COVID-19 national crisis.

So, we’re reaching out a little deeper to make sure we have Pierce County covered. And we’re taking steps this week to make sure as many people get their hands on The Journal as possible.

There’s a lot of important information in these pages this week. We may be somewhat hunkered down, as we all are, at this time, but we’re still working overtime to deliver your community news.

In the last two months, The Journal has grown with the philosophy of putting out a great local newspaper. We’re excited about Pierce County. We’re all going through some stuff right now, and we want to help our local businesses, now and in the future.

Let’s get through this together!

For our part, we know a lot of small businesses have been put in a difficult situation. We want to help you get the word out about your business.

During this crisis, The Journal will offer free advertising to small businesses. The size is 3.5 inches wide by 3 inches deep. We can make your ad bigger for a nominal charge. There’s honestly no strings attached. The residents of Pierce County have embraced us, and we simply want to return the favor.

Whether your storefront is open or you want to keep in touch with your customers at this time of uncertainty, we want to help.
