What’s going on at the Prescott Area Historical Society? Lots to say the least.
Last Friday night Aug. 7, Dr. John Anfinson gave his first presentation on a multi-year study of St. Anthony Falls and the surrounding area. Our next History Sharing Day is at 1 p.m. Aug. 17 with Chris Faltseisek. Bring in your stories, artifacts and photos. Or just stop in to browse. Always a fun time.
We are hosting a potluck dinner from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. All are invited to help us celebrate our progress. We also are looking for people interested in history to help with our efforts to preserve and present our history. Stop by for a snack and chat.
We have a change in our River Speaker Series during Prescott Daze on Saturday, Sept. 12. Captain Tom Struve, local Prescott grad, will be doing two shows because he always packs the house. The first is at 1 p.m., the second is at 3:30 p.m. He will present “200 Hundred Years of Moving People, Goods, and Technology” on our rivers.
Congratulations to Freedom Park for a successful Confluence of Communities with our Native American friends.
