Chris Kroeze to perform, online fair entry launched

ELLSWORTH – The long winter helped the Pierce County Fair staff to focus on several projects we are excited to share with you! We hope you find them as helpful as we have anticipated.

Online exhibit entry

We took a good look at one of the services we had dreamed of providing and decided to put it in place – online exhibit entry is now available!

Over time, we have noticed many fairs are using online entry systems. After some investigation, we found the software we already use has an online system available. This system allows you, the exhibitor, to enter exhibits/projects in the fair from wherever you may be.

Are you wondering how you enter the Pierce County Fair? First, look at the Premium Book (https://www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/fair_books.php), then decide what you might like to bring to the fair. Go to the Pierce County Fair website (https://www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/index.php), click on the “Online Exhibit Entries” link which leads you to “Blue Ribbon Fair Online.” Each exhibitor starts by creating a log-in account and following the instructions. Add your entries, review them, and check out. This system allows you to enter in both the junior and open divisions by editing your profile. Upon check out, the program adds in your admission ticket and charges a one-time $3.25 processing fee. Do not forget to click the “submit” button to receive your confirmation and send the entry to the fair.

For those with livestock only, you must enter your choices by June 16. Livestock exhibitors may call the Fair Office at 715.273.6874 for modifications until July 14. After July 14, we can no longer make changes. On Aug. 2, exhibit tags will be ready for pick-up at the Seyforth Building on the Fairgrounds during business hours. If you need help, we are offering assistance by appointment on June 6; call 715.273.6874 to set a time.

This new system creates a larger window of opportunity for exhibitors to review options and to see if a project is working out as intended along with sending the fair a uniform entry and eliminating mistakes on entry tags. We believe this is a great time-saving tool for everyone using it!

Chris Kroeze Pre-fair Concert

What better way to celebrate summer than with a live outdoor concert featuring Chris Kroeze and his band at 7 p.m. Friday, July 28 in the Pierce County Fair Grandstand! Besides great music and entertainment, we will have food, beer, and other beverages available. Since we know you will want to reserve your tickets, we are offering pre-sale online tickets at our website (www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/index.php) starting May 30 for $15 plus courtesy fee. Get your tickets before they are gone!

Pierce County Fair website

We are continuing to add new information to our website (https://www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/index.php). If you need the most current information, we have added our newsletters to the right-side tab along with the various forms for the livestock and other entries.

Bundt Cake Challenge Recipe

After a lot of taste testing, we came up with two Bundt Cake recipes we think you will enjoy entering at the Pierce County Fair. One has a spicey kick – Chocolate Spice Bundt Cake – while the other is a delicious salute to the 70’s – Butterscotch Bundt Pound Cake. Try them both and decide which one you are entering in the fair. You will find the recipes under the Entry & Judging Information tab. This year besides a champion ribbon and bragging rights, the top three entries will receive one specialty Bundt Pan each courtesy of Nordic Ware!

Volunteer at the Fair

The Pierce County Fair requires a lot of help to make each event work well; if you have some extra time and enjoy the fair, call Ashley at 715-273-6874.

We can’t wait to see you at the Pierce County Fair Aug. 10-13, 2023! Thank you to our community supporters, Fair Committee, fair and Pierce County.
