Empathy. I couldn't nd a smidgeon of it in last weeks letter to the editor from a Prescott man who boasts of voting yes, he thinks, on all Prescott School District refer

– endums. I'm glad he apparently is doing so well nancially. Many are not. This is espe –

cially the case what with 2020's upheavals.

With Prescott property taxes already ex – tremely high more dollars for the School District can not be easily covered by just eliminating still another "extra" for a signi – cant number of people.

It's amazing, but predictable, that the Prescott School Board, upon getting the results of their survey of District residents which rejected their plan and, thus, were not to their liking, would pretty much ignore the results and proceed with their own and the superintendent's agenda.

Eleven million dollars plus

($11,000,000.00+) for a proposed referen

– dum is hardly a compromise gure and not for "needed" maintenance only.

Why in the world is changing how in

– struction is delivered even being considered if Prescott students are truly already receiv –

ing a so-called "world class education" ev –

idenced by test scores as we are constantly told by the District. Foolish changes can be a bunch of expensive and pretentious non

–

sense.

I say "needed" maintenance-Yes, "unnec –

essary" frivolities-No.
