ELLSWORTH – Looking for something a little wild this September? Join us for Discover Together Tuesday at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 for a lively, hands-on animal encounter with Tom the Creature Teacher — a program that’s sure to surprise, educate, and entertain!

Tom Pederson, affectionately known as “The Creature Teacher,” is a retired Lake City educator with 38 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for reptiles and amphibians. With humor, energy, and deep knowledge, Pederson brings the wonders of the animal world to life.

During this engaging hour-long presentation, you’ll meet frogs, lizards, turtles, snakes, and more — all from around the globe. Curious guests will even have the opportunity to gently touch a tortoise or a snake (only if you’d like to!). Whether you’re an animal enthusiast or just looking for something new, Pederson’s fascinating critters and storytelling will keep you captivated from start to finish.

Pederson has also taught at Winona State University’s College for Kids and served as a Critter Camp Instructor for 15 years. His hands-on approach and passion for wildlife make this a can’t-miss event for all ages.

This program, held at the Ellsworth Senior Citizen Center, is open to all ages. The Ellsworth Senior Center is located in the English Lutheran Church, 229 W. Main St., Ellsworth.

A complimentary meal will be served following the program, generously provided by the Ellsworth Senior Center and Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library.
