PRESCOTT – Prescott is the place for some freezing cool fun on Saturday, Jan. 14.
The newly-formed Prescott Tourism Committee, in conjunction with the Prescott Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its first official event. Prescott Winter Fest will be held with events downtown from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
An ice carving competition featuring some of the finest artisans in the craft will run from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Lucille’s, which is sponsoring the event.
A beer tent with live music will be set up behind Muddy Waters from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Also planned are:
• A make-and-take craft event at the Cove Guest House at 1 p.m. (RSVP in advance at chamberofprescott.com).
• A “Flying P” meat raffle from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Scab’s Place.
• Hot chocolate stations.
• Ice skating at Mercord Mill Park.
• Shopping specials at downtown businesses.
Also, stop and visit Freedom Park, which will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
