A Taste of Tuscany, 4:30 p.m., Vino in the Valley (W3826 450th Ave., Maiden Rock). The Ellsworth Community School District Foundation’s annual fundraiser. Funds raised enrich and enhance learning opportunities for students. Enjoy great wine, delicious dinner, silent auction, live music, vineyard tours by wagon and more. Sunday, June 4

Ellsworth Lions Annual Fishing Derby, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nugget Lake County Park (N4351 County Road HH, Plum City). Every child will be entered to win a kayak and other prizes. Trophies awarded for biggest bluegill, crappie and perch, plus smallest fish. Burgers, brats and hot dogs for purchase. Fishing equipment and lessons will be available.

Taste of River Falls, noon to 4 p.m., downtown River Falls (on Main Street between Maple and Locust). Participating businesses and nonprofits based in River Falls offer a taste of what it’s like to live in River Falls. Vendors, food, live music, and more!

History Club, 2 p.m., Plum City Public Library (611 Main St.) Pierce County Historical Association is working with local libraries to bring communities a local history club! Each event kicks off with a fun Show & Tell where you can share a story, photo or item of local or family significance. Learn about local history with others who love it!

Summer Reading Kick Off Party, 4-7 p.m., Plum City Public Library (611 Main St.) Stop by for face painting, treats, prize drawing, kids goody bags and reading logs.

100 Year History of RF Public Library, 6:30 p.m., RF Public Library (140 Union St.) Mary Baumgartner will present historical documentation from The Federated Women’s Club of River Falls (The Tuesday Club), which was instrumental in establishing the library in 1923. Watch in person or on the library Facebook page or YouTube channel.

RF Area Retired Educators Association, 11 a.m., Junior’s Restaurant & Taphouse (100 E. Spring St., River Falls). This is our last meeting until October. Showdown in Curdtown, 6:30 p.m., Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St., Ellsworth). Eight pulling classes attracting participants from across the nation. This event is the main fundraiser for the Ellsworth FFA Alumni.

Hague Memorial Pony Pull, 11 a.m., Elmwood Rod & Gun (N6433 Highway 72, Elmwood). Concessions onsite, 50/50 raffles all day.

Sunday, June 11

Sunday Brunch, 9 a.m. to noon, River Falls Moose Lodge 594 Moose Lodge (620 N. Clark St., River Falls). Buffet includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy, plus a Bloody Mary and Bubbly bar. Funds raised will go toward the parking lot fundraiser.

East End Chalk Fest, 9 a.m., Broadway Street, Ellsworth. Join us for another fun year of colorful, beautiful chalk creations! Free registration for artists, who must bring their own chalk. Bloody Mary Walk, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., downtown River Falls. This inaugural event will benefit the RF Sunshine Fund and Rhino’s Cancer Foundation. Two routes are available. Check in at Veterans Park to receive tickets and voting cards.

Carnival & Ice Cream Social, 4 p.m., River Falls Public Library (140 Union St.) Summer Reading Kickoff for Kids 4-6 p.m. where they can register for summer programs. Join us for the Centennial Celebration 6-7:30 p.m. with Winsome Hollow String Band, pie and ice cream, take and make art kit for adults and River Falls History Display. Local history experts will be available for questions during the celebration.

Prescott Chamber Golf Outing, 2-7 p.m., Clifton Highlands (N6890 1230th St., Prescott. Fun, friends, costumes, games and golf. Open to the public. Any skill level is welcome!

Pierce County Dairy Breakfast, 7:30-11:30 p.m., Maple Bud Farm (N5718 530th St., Ellsworth). Come enjoy a delicious meal that includes pancakes, sausage, Ellsworth cheese curds, Culver’s custard, Kwik Trip milk, water and coffee. Farm tours, kids activities, local farm history and more! The iconic group will pay homage to our nation’s famous award shows, from Broadway’s Tony Awards, the Oscars, to the Grammys. We will also “Stuff the Bus” with donations for the River Falls Community Food Pantry.

Prescott Fastpitch Association Fundraiser, 10 a.m., Valley Bar & Grill (W10299 Highway 10, Prescott). Rib cook-off, kids group bean bag tournament, competitive and social bags tournaments, meat raffle, music by 2 Old Folkers. BBQ contest is open to all levels of pitmasters. Entry fee is $75, which covers ribs and two free drinks. Fan vote and four-person judges panel.
