A Bay City man has been arrested on child porn charges related to images and stills from videos found on his cell phone.
Richard Arthur Garrick, 52, was ordered to pay $5,00 cash bond in Pierce County Circuit Court Feb. 28 on seven felony possession of child pornography (lifetime supervision of serious sex offenders) charges. If convicted, the maximum penalty he faces is 25 years in prison and/or fines up t0 $100,000.
According to the complaint:
A Wisconsin Department of Justice Special Agent and other law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at W6632 Maple St., Bay City, on Feb. 26. They seized digital evidence from the scene, previewed by DOJ Division of Criminal Investigation digital evidence specialist, depicting multiple images of toddlers and prepubescent females performing sexual acts with adult men or in various stages of undress. A full forensic examination will be complete of Garrick’s cell phone.
Garrick is scheduled to appear at an arraignment hearing at 1:30 p.m. April 9.
