Beverly J Bauer, 85, of Prescott, Wi, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at United Hospital, St. Paul, Minn. She was born in Grand Forks, ND to Ernel and Margaret Bratvold.
Bev worked many years at APGI, first as a grader and eventually she became operator of the company’s state-of-the-art automated packaging system—the first of its kind in the Red River Valley. Though she worked hard, it was never to climb a ladder or chase a title—it was so her family could take special vacations, make memories, and live moments they’d cherish forever. Everything she did was for those she loved. Family was her world, and she was its heart.
She found her greatest joy under the sun—camping at the lake, soaking up the warmth in Florida during winter months, or simply sitting for hours outside on a deck (any deck). Bev had a sparkle in her eyes that reflected her spirit—radiant, warm, and full of life.
She had a deep love for adventure and a passion for shopping, especially in search of the perfect dress or pair of shoes. Her door was always open, her home always full of laughter and stories. Her sense of humor was infectious, and her collection of jokes was legendary—she always had one more story to tell.
She was a sweetheart in the truest sense of the word, her kindness was boundless, and her gentle heart touched everyone who met her. The light of her personality often arrived before she did, and that light will never go out in the hearts of those who knew her.
Bev’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple, beautiful moments that make a life extraordinary. We will miss her deeply, but we are forever grateful for the time we had, the memories we shared, and the example of unconditional love she gave us all.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, and brothers Richard and Duane Bratvold. She is survived by children Joyce (Steve) Mireault, Brenda Bauer (Keith Hepner), and Randall (Heather) Bauer, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sisters Marlys Johnson (Dennis), Lois Srnsky (Bob), Janet Little, Cheryl Froseth, brothers Kenny and Gordon Bratvold, her beloved companion and best friend Dennis Donath, her extended family of brothers and sisters through marriage, and many loving nieces and nephews.
