RIVER FALLS – You don’t have to drive to the Cities to experience a unique boutique with quality clothing. Briss Boutique, owned and operated by Katie Brisson, is located at 107 N. Main St. Suite A in River Falls.

Brisson opened the shop, which offers a wide variety of clothing, accessories, and gifts, on July 6, 2024. She also provides personalized styling and one-on-one customer service. 

Brisson has worked in retail on and off since she was 16 years old. Having her own boutique is a dream come true.

“I've always loved clothes, helping people feel their best, and making new connections,” Brisson said. “I spent some time working at boutiques prior to opening my own and knew this was something I wanted to do long term. I enjoy the buying side of the business as well. I love hand-selecting unique, beautiful, and quality pieces for our incredible customers to choose from. We truly pride ourselves in having a little something for everyone.”

Friendly, top-tier customer service is her focus. She wants everyone to feel welcome and supported.

“Whether you're stopping in for a gift, a seasonal refresh, or simply browsing, offering you the best experience possible is always our #1 goal,” Brisson said.

She also enjoys working with local vendors. Currently, the boutique partners with local card, jewelry, hat, candle, and several clothing vendors. The welcoming community is why she chose to open her store in River Falls.

“Choosing River Falls as our store location was an easy choice; we love River Falls,” Brisson said. “The people, community and support for small businesses here is truly so special and we feel so fortunate to be a part of it!”

The name Briss Boutique comes from her married last name. When she started thinking about opening the store, she and her husband agreed Briss Boutique had a catchy ring to it.

“Over the years, I've called my husband ‘Briss,’ which he always thought was funny, and it just kind of stuck,” she laughed.

The boutique is a family affair. Husband Jason or one of their four children, ranging in age from 7-17, often help out.

“Our dream is to build a trusted and respected brand within the communities we serve, while being present for our customers and providing flexibility for our family,” Brisson said.

She is looking forward to meeting more community members during River Falls Business Leaders’ Ladies Night Out, scheduled for 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24. The boutique is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
