BALDWIN - Pillar Bank welcomes Hannah Zimmel as an Agriculture Loan Officer, serving agricultural and commercial customers in the Plum City, Spring Valley and Baldwin areas.
A River Falls native, Zimmel recently returned to western Wisconsin after spending 10 years in Missouri. She brings extensive agricultural lending and credit experience, most recently serving as a Farm Loan Specialist with the USDA Farm Service Agency. Her previous FSA roles include Farm Loan Manager and Farm Loan Officer.
Zimmel’s interest in agricultural lending stems from the variety of operations and the opportunity to learn from the producers behind them.
“I enjoy seeing different operations and getting to learn from everyone,” Zimmel said. “No farmer does things the same, and seeing the diversity of operations and industries is something I really enjoy.”
She encourages producers to maintain an ongoing relationship with their banker, whether they are preparing for their next production cycle, reviewing their financial position or considering financing.
“Always talk to your banker! We see so many operations that we most likely have a tip or trick that could help, even if you're not looking for a new loan at this time,” Zimmel said.
Her approach emphasizes understanding each operation’s needs, monitoring working capital and liquidity, and preparing financial documentation to support informed lending decisions.
Outside of banking, Zimmel enjoys horseback riding, reading and spending time with her two children.
To connect with Zimmel, email her at h.zimmel@pillar.bank or call visit www.pillar.bank.
