A social respite program serving seniors residing in Pierce and St. Croix counties who are facing memory changes or physical limitations. Music in the Park, 7-9 p.m., Veterans Park (1 N. Main St., River Falls). Community Arts Base’s summertime series featuring live music performances in downtown River Falls. Featuring Howard “Guitar” Luedtke.

Saturday, Aug. 2
Rubys Pantry Food Distribution is August 2nd, 9:30-11 at Pierce Pepin Co-op (corner of US 10 & Hwy 63). Sponsored by Bethel Covenant Church. $25 per share of food.

Sunday, Aug. 3
PCHA Open House, noon to 4 p.m., Pierce County Historical Association (W6321 Main St., Bay City). The Vintage Wedding Display is ready! View a beautiful display of wedding attire, photos, and wedding artifacts from brides and grooms all over Pierce County from the mid-1800's to the early 1900's. It took a lot of work to plan, curate, and arrange this very special exhibit.

Tuesday, Aug. 5
National Night Out, 5-8 p.m., Prescott High School (1010 Dexter St.) Live music, food, games, bouncy house, emergency vehicles, kid prizes, color run.

Thursday, Aug. 7
Coffee & Conversation, 1:30 p.m., Elmwood History Center (110 S. Main St., Elmwood.) An opportunity for older adults to gather and share their life experiences with others in a comfortable and engaging environment. It is a place where guests can laugh, learn, share their memories, and connect with others. All are welcome!
Community Appreciation Event, 4-6 p.m., River Falls City Hall Plaza (222 Lewis St.) Come to City Hall for free food, yard games, touch-a-truck, live music by Zeb Sears, and more.

Friday, Aug. 8
Little Curds & Whey Day, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cady Cheese (126 State Road 128, Wilson). Join us for a day packed with dairy-themed fun for the whole family, including: cheese education with Master Cheesemaker Rob Stellrecht; outdoor games: cornhole, pick-a-duck, spin to win, face painting, temporary tattoos, scavenger hunt, goodie bags for kids + free cow-spotted balloons, free popcorn & fresh string cheese, free samples & blind folded cheese tastings, Hot Mess Dogs & Olson's Ice Cream.
History Speaker Series, 7 p.m., Prescott Historical Society (235 Broad St.) Dallas Eggers presents “Steamboats Comin’, A History of Steamboats.”

Exotic Pet Surrender Event, noon to 3 p.m., Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center (200 Monroe St., Prescott). Hosted by J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue. Accepted animals include fish, invertebrates, reptiles, pet birds, small mammals and plants. Domestic pets will not be accepted.

Artist Reception, 2-4 p.m., Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center (200 Monroe St., Prescott). Meet artist Bill Sylvander; lights refreshments to follow.

Wednesday, Aug. 13
UMC Ono Noon Meal, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Ono United Methodist Church (N3298 County Road CC, Maiden Rock). Serving roast beef, mashed potatoes, veggies, salads and pie. Adults are $15, children 5-10 are $8.
