Initial appearances

Patrick F. Gilbertson, 35, Hastings, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on an ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order charge April 25. A status conference is set for 8:30 a.m. May 26.

Jermica R. Jackson, 23, Oakdale, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond on criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges April 25. A status conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 26.

Travess O. Raysor, 24, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges April 25. A status conference is slated for 10 a.m. May 26.

Mandy J. Siepelmeyer-Johnson, 39, Hager City, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond April 25 on a misdemeanor bail jumping charge. A status conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. May 26.

Chace Allen Williams, 27, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted $10,000 signature bonds in four cases on 11 misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A status conference is slated for 3 p.m. May 9.

Closed cases Nickolas J. Kanakares, 40, Red Wing., Minn, was found not guilty at a jury trial April 21 and a violate foreign protection order charge was dismissed. The charge resulted from a Dec. 26, 2018 incident.

OWI-second and operating with PAC (second) charges against Joseph Allan Lorence, 39, River Falls, were dismissed April 25. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 29 travc stop.

Resisting or obstructing an ovcer and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges against Brendan James Tape, 38, Ellsworth, were dismissed April 22 upon completion of a deferred prosecution agreement. The charges resulted from an Aug. 15 incident.

James Reynold Tyler, 63, Prescott, was convicted of disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), sentenced to 40 days in jail with 31 days credit, and fined $543 April 22. A criminal damage to property charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from an Aug. 30, 2020 incident.

A possession of cocaine/coca charge against Justin M. Weldon, 35, Prescott, was dismissed April 25 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a May 2, 2021 incident.

Aaron Alan Wiesender, 40, Ellsworth, was convicted of resisting or obstructing an ovcer, criminal damage to property and battery April 22, sentenced to nine months in jail (with 185 days credit) and fined $1,329. At a separate probation revocation sentencing hearing, Wiesender was sentenced to nine months in jail (with 187 days credit) on two battery (domestic abuse) charges, 90 days each on two disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges (time served), and six years in prison (stayed for three years’ probation) on a felony strangulation and suuocation (domestic abuse) charge. All jail sentences are concurrent. He also owes $2,790 in court fees/civil judgment. Three felony bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Sept. 11, 2019; April 1, 2020; Nov. 13, 2020; Oct. 19, 2021; and Oct. 27, 2021.

Deferred cases Daniel Chase Zelm, 39, Menomonie, pleaded guilty and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge April 25. The charge resulted from a May 14, 2021 incident.
