Initial appearances Michael Stephen Brecount, 59, Minneapolis, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond April 4 on OWI-second and operating with PAC – second charges. A pre-trial conference is set for 1 p.m April 11.

Benjamin J. Hohmann,

37, Bay City, pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 signature bond an operating while revoked and resisting or obstructing an officer charges April 4. A pre-trial conference is set for 11:30 a.m. May 17.

Peter Andrew Kassera,

35, Spring Valley, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond April 4 on OWI-second and operating with PAC – second charges. A pre-trial conference is set for 2 p.m. May 2.

Yimi Martinez-Nava, 39, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install and operating while revoked (alcohol related) charges April 4. A status conference is planned for 2:30 p.m. April 28.

Manuel Antonio Moctezuma, 41, Clayton, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond an on operating while revoked charge April 4. A pre-trial conference is slated for 1 p.m. May 9.

Derrick Lee Plank, 55, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond April 1 on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. April 28.

Willie Lee Ricks Jr., 41, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 signature bond April 4 on operating while revoked (alcohol related, fourth+) and two misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A pre-trial conference is slated for 11 a.m. April 19.

Lilia Mirabel Saca Gualan, 23, Hudson, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond April 4 on an operate without valid license (second within three years) charge. A status conference is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. April 28.

Eric D. Schaeppi, 32, St. Paul Park, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on a disorderly conduct charge April 4. A status conference is set for 11:30 a.m. May 10.

Benjamin Charles Souster, 49, Plum City, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond April 4 on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge. A pre-trial conference is set for 10:30 a.m. May 9.

Closed cases Bridget Ada Mueske, 42, Welch, Minn., waived extradition to Washington County, Minn., April 4.

An operate firearm while intoxicated charge against

Daniel Jerome Schroeder,

37, Prescott, was dismissed April 4. The charge resulted from a March 4, 2019 incident.

Kyle Richard Swanson,

32, Prescott, was convicted of OWI-second April 4, sentenced to 10 days in jail, fined $1,429, ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and ordered to install an ignition interlock device for one year after a one-year’s driver’s license revocation. An operating with PAC charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Sept. 29 traffic stop.

Deontae Lakeith Thomas, 33, Red Wing, Minn., was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 April 4. The charge resulted from a July 8 traffic stop.

At a March 31 probation revocation hearing, Stephanee Jean Ward, 29, Ellsworth, was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison and two years of extended supervision (115 days credit) and ordered to pay unpaid court costs. Ward had initially been convicted of felony vehicle operator flee/elude officer, felony possession of narcotic drugs and felony possession of methamphetamine Nov. 29 and sentenced to three years’ probation. The charges stemmed from incidents July 21 and 25.
