Initial appearances John Robinson, 38, Anoka, Minn., pleaded not guilty and was ordered to pay $2,500 cash bail on felony possession of methamphetamine and felony maintain drug trafficking place (as party to a crime) on Aug. 12. A status conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 25.
Deferred cases Paul Andrew Moriarty, 44, Zimmerman, Minn., was convicted of OWI – first and fined $937.50 Aug. 10. His driver’s license will be revoked for six months and he must undergo an alcohol assessment. He also pleaded guilty to and entered into a three-year deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony second degree recklessly endangering safety charge. An operating with PAC (with passenger under 16) charge was dismissed. The charges were filed Sept. 21, 2020.
John Allen Smith, 56, River Falls, pleaded no contest to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on an operate firearm while intoxicated charge Aug. 5. The charge was filed Sept. 14, 2020.
Raeanna M. Spadino, 26, St. Paul, pleaded guilty to and entered a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a possession of an electric weapon charge Aug. 10. The charge was filed Nov. 19.
Closed cases
A deferred judgment of conviction agreement for a felony child abuse – recklessly cause harm charge against Raya E. Godwin, 24, Menomonie, was revoked May 11. On Aug. 4, she was sentenced to one year of probation, fined $518 and ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation. The charge was filed Feb. 5, 2019.
Christopher David Longsdorf, 24, Plum City, was convicted of OWI – second, sentenced to 10 days in jail and 10 days of electronic home monitoring, fined $1,429 and ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and install an ignition interlock device Aug. 4. His driver’s license will be revoked for 12 months. Operating while revoked and operating with PAC charges were dismissed. The charges were filed Jan. 18.
James Matthew Moe, 37, River Falls, was convicted neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur), sentenced to one year of probation and fined $443 Aug. 4. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges were filed Sept. 19 and 10, 2019.
Anthony Russell Reynolds Para, 30, River Falls, was sentenced to 90 days in jail (51 days credit) and ordered to pay a civil judgment of $886 at a probation revocation hearing Aug. 10. Para had been sentenced to probation on two disorderly conduct charges May 19. The charges were filed May 6 and June 18.
Shane Paul Sande, 22, Winona, Minn., was convicted of possession of THC and fined $277.80 Aug. 9. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges were filed July 22.
Take/drive vehicle without consent – abandon vehicle, battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges against Charlotte Marie Steenberg, 37, Ellsworth, were dismissed Aug. 4. The charges were filed Jan. 7 and Feb. 4.
Paige Eileen Ward, 27, Hammond, was convicted of disorderly conduct, sentenced to one year of probation and fined $443 Aug. 4. The charge was filed Aug. 6, 2020.
Terry Lee Alwin Weeks, 62, Hudson, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $277.80 Aug. 10. The charge was filed April 8.
Aaron Alan Wiesender, 39, Ellsworth, was convicted of two disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) and two battery (domestic abuse) charges, sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $2,172 Aug. 4. He also pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse) charge. Felony bail jumping, possess amphetamine/LSD/psilocin, possession of THC, two possess drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse), felony possession of methamphetamine, criminal damage to property and five felony bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges were filed Sept. 12, 2019 and April 22, Nov. 16 and Dec. 21, 2020.
