Drug bust in Spring Lake turns up cocaine, cash

TOWN OF SPRING LAKE – A Spring Valley man was arrested after a bust in the town of Spring Lake July 27 that turned up not only drugs, but weapons and a lot of cash.

Aaron Allan Addison, 43, posted a $5,000 cash bond on felony possess with intent – cocaine (>40g), felony pos- sess firearm – convicted of a felony, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges Aug. 1. If he is convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and/or fines up to $100,000. According to the complaint: On July 27, the Pierce County Sheriu's Ovce Emer gency Response Team and West Central Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at N8874 200th St. When ov cers arrived, they knocked on the door and windows for 10 minutes before Addison, who was cooperative, came to the door.

During the search, police confiscated a Ruger 9mm handgun, shotgun and handgun magazines, weapons accessories, drug paraphernalia, 37.1 grams of methamphetamine, 2 pounds and 1.6 ounces of cocaine, 12.1 grams of marijuana, $9,380 in cash, a bill counter machine and two cell phones.

Addison told a Drug Enforcement Administration agent and other ovcers that he’d been selling large quantities of drugs since COVID started. He said he’d purchase $20,000 to $40,000 worth of cocaine at a time and the drugs would be delivered to his house. He sold an ounce or larger to 12-15 diuerent people, usually.

When police knocked on his door, he was sleeping. When he saw it was police, he hid a backpack containing a gun and the cocaine in the dryer.

Addison is scheduled for a status conference in Piere County Circuit Court at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 29.
