Ellsworth COVID-19 community testing site updates times

ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth COVID-19 Community Testing Site hours will change starting Sept 27. Testing will be available from 9-11 a.m. on Monday and Thursday mornings at Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services.

As cases of COVID-19 rise the demand for Wisconsin National Guard community testing sites has been increasing. To accommodate additional testing locations, the Guard is adjusting times.

“We are grateful to have the support of the Wisconsin National Guard to provide testing to our community. Many communities have recently requested this help, so we will need to be flexible in order to share this resource with other counties” said AZ Snyder, Pierce County Health Officer.

Please note there may be future changes in testing dates/times as demand in the region continues to fluctuate. To find the most current testing information visit: https://covid-piercecountywi. hub.arcgis.com/ or call 715-273-6755. At this time the drivethru testing site will be open for two hours, twice per week.

As a reminder: Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or who has been in close contact with someone who tested positive for the virus is eligible for testing. Please note the following:

•All testing is drive-up without appointments. Pre-registration on the day of your test is recommended to speed up the esting process: https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov/

•PPCS is located at the corner of highways 10 and 63 in Ellsworth (enter the testing site on Highway 63).

•The test is free and no insurance is needed.

•Parents/guardians must be present to consent for testing minors aged 1 to 17. Children under 12 months old are not eligible for testing at this site
