The following incidents were reported to the Ellsworth Police Department Feb. 6-12.
Monday, Feb. 6
At 6:35 p.m., a complainant reported that his vehicle was struck while parked at Cenex (610 E. Main St.) near the semi parking lot sometime between 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. There was damage to the front fender and brush guard.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
Police assisted Pierce County deputies with a search warrant at 8:47 a.m. at 110 Evergreen Estates.
A caller reported a suspicious vehicle near St. Francis School (244 W. Woodworth St.) at 2:27 p.m. The driver was picking up someone in the area.
Officers received a trespassing complaint at 3:39 p.m. at 163 Evergreen Estates. The residents said a person kept coming to the door, saying he was there to pick up a package. The man leaves when asked, but has come to their door at least 10 times. Police told the residents to call them when he is there.
Thursday, Feb. 9
At 6:08 p.m., a caller said while riding his bike past 230 N. Crosscut St., he heard someone calling for help. He also said the place contains “a bunch of dead bodies” and that the person is a necrophiliac. Police spoke with the owner, who said he hadn’t heard anything out of the ordinary.
Friday, Feb. 10
At 8:55 a.m., police responded to Ellsworth High School (323 Hillcrest St.) for a vaping complaint. A student admitted to vaping the day before on a school bus at about 3:30 p.m. They were cited.
At 12:59 p.m., police were called to 1011 Southgate Drive for a dog in the yard. The dog was taken to the village kennel.
At 3:23 p.m., a complainant reported possible harassment at the Pierce County Courthouse (414 W. Main St.) He said when he left a court hearing, two people involved in the case with him were waiting in a car staring at him. No one was there when officers arrived.
Saturday, Feb. 11 Krista J. Murray, 36, New Richmond, was cited for having an open container in her vehicle after a driving complaint at 9:05 p.m. The complainant said from River Falls to Ellsworth, Murray had been slamming on her brakes and swerving. Police located her at 157 E. Main St. in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running. She admitted to driving there. Police found an open bottle of Smirnoff in the center console. Police confiscated the bottle and released Murray to her boyfriend.
At 11:33 p.m., a complainant reported loud music coming from a vehicle at 188 Evergreen Estates. When police arrived, nothing was found.
Sunday, Feb. 12
At 11:59 p.m., a resident at 332 E. Pleasant Ave. reported a Facebook Marketplace scam. A person online stated she overpaid and wanted a return of the excess money, even though she’d never picked up the item. The account sent a picture of a gun to the seller and threatened to come to the residence. The scam was reported to Facebook.
Randy J. Gustin, 38, Ellsworth, was arrested for battery and domestic disorderly conduct after police responded to a domestic at 6:34 p.m. at 102 Evergreen Estates St.
