The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Aug. 15-21.
Monday, Aug. 15
Officers assisted Ellsworth Fire at 4:58 a.m. at 141 S. Maple St.
Chace Allen Williams, 27, Ellsworth, was arrested for violating his bond conditions at 7:05 p.m. when police responded to 191 Evergreen Estates St. for a welfare check.
Molly Stahnke, 28, River Falls, was arrested for possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for failure to stop at stop sign at 11:09 p.m. at Railroad Avenue and Wall Street. A vehicle search was conducted after a marijuana smell was detected.
Tuesday, Aug. 16
A complainant called police at 11:23 a.m. about a neighbor complaint in the 100 block of East Susan Street. The caller said the neighbor’s kids don’t go to school, run around naked, look in windows and ride other kids’ bikes without permission. Police told the complainant to talk directly to the neighbor if comfortable doing so or to the landlord. They also advised them to contact Child Protective Services about the supervision and nudity concerns.
Ronald Wild, 57, Whitewater, was arrested for a probation violation at 2:09 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Officers responded to a minor two-vehicle crash at 2:27 p.m. at 150 W. Summit Ave between Bonnie Hamann, 52, River Falls, and a parked vehicle belonging to
Samantha Mitchell, 21, Ellsworth.
Police received a complaint about juveniles in the back parking lot at 8:39 p.m. at 325 W. Main St. When police arrived, they were gone.
A caller reported juveniles skateboarding in the parking lot at 8:46 p.m. at 157 E. Main St. The juveniles, who refused to identify themselves, told officers they had not been asked to leave.
Police responded at 9:43 p.m. to Cenex (610 E. Main St.) where a homeless woman known to police was asking people for money. She agreed to leave.
Officers checked on an occupied vehicle with fogged up windows at 10:32 p.m. at 181 E. Main St. The two occupants were eating ice cream.
Jonathan Gualan Lozano, 29, Ellsworth, was cited for operating without a valid license after a traffic stop at 11:34 p.m. at Maple and Cairns streets.
Wednesday, Aug. 17
A caller reported an idling vehicle sitting in the middle of the road at 3:29 a.m. in the 100 block of Northview Street. When officers arrived, the vehicle was gone.
Police took a theft report at 9:49 a.m. at 273 N. Morse St. that had occurred at 1:55 p.m. Aug. 12.
Friday, Aug. 19
Police received a complaint of someone burning a couch at 10:35 a.m. at 232 S. Piety St. The person was burning brush, not furniture, but was warned to have recreational fires only.
Officers made contact with a suspicious person at 10:49 a.m. in the 100 block of Plum Street. The person was a private investigator who said they’d be in the area for a couple of days.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 1:01 p.m. at 610 E. Main St. between Annie Baker, 42, Ellsworth, and Ethan King, 17, Beldenville. King was stopped at the Wallace Street stop sign after leaving the Cenex lot. Baker was traveling west on Main Street passing the intersection at the same time. King didn’t see Baker and started a right turn, striking her rear passenger side bumper.
Saturday, Aug. 20
At 9:06 a.m., a complainant reported a woman going up to doors in the 200 block of Beulah Street. Police made contact with the woman, who is known to police, in the fairgrounds. She said she was just trying to find out what day it was and that she wasn’t going up to doors, but spoke to someone outside.
Ellsworth police assisted Pierce County deputies with a missing person complaint at 5:40 p.m. at County Road E and 620th Avenue, River Falls.
Police performed a welfare check at 6:44 p.m. on a man near Wall and Main streets. He told police the electricity in his apartment was “too high” and he had to get out. He denied help or EMS.
Sunday, Aug. 21
Officers received a complaint of kids burning stuff in the culvert under Main Street at 239 E. Main St. at 8:23 a.m. The caller told police the kids started walking toward Family Dollar. Tyler Baker, 17, Ellsworth, was arrested for possess drug paraphernalia. One juvenile had charges referred for possess drug paraphernalia and possession of THC and was cited for possible possession of an e-cig; another juvenile was cited for possession of an e-cig.
Police received multiple 911 calls mapping from 454 High Point Drive at 11:50 p.m. When they responded, no emergency was heard or observed. Calls had also been received at 2:44 a.m., 3:02 a.m., 3:07 a.m., 3:10 a.m., 3:12 a.m., 3:14 a.m., 3:17 a.m., 3:20 a.m., 3:22 a.m., 3:26 a.m., 3:28 a.m., 3:29 a.m., 3:31 a.m., 3:35 a.m., 3:36 a.m., 3:40 a.m., 3:43 a.m., 3:45 a.m., 3:56 a.m., 3:58 a.m., 4:08 a.m., 9:07 a.m., 10:43 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1:08 p.m. In all, more than 30 calls were received on the 21st from that address with no one appearing to need help.
