The following incidents were reported to the Ellsworth Police Department Aug. 1-7.
Monday, Aug. 1
Police made contact with a man at 6:58 p.m. at 161 W. Main St. for a disorderly man who said he could say whatever he wanted due to freedom of speech. He was warned for disorderly conduct.
Tuesday, Aug. 2
EMS responded at 9:29 a.m. to 445 S. Piety St. where a juvenile fell of the monkey bars.
At 3:36 p.m., police received a complaint of cars parked in the street being worked on at Pond and Campbell streets. The suspect was told not to work on cars in the street and to clean up the debris and car parts around the home.
At 9:56 p.m., a black iPhone was found across the street from the Check Inn. Police took it to the station.
Wednesday, Aug. 3
A downed powerline was reported at 1:03 a.m. at 364 W. Church St. Xcel Energy was notified.
A tree was found in the roadway at 1:21 a.m. at N518 N. Railroad Ave. The county was contacted.
A caller reported a suspicious person outside at 1:38 a.m. at 109 N. Northview St. No one was found; the caller was advised to lock all doors and windows.
At 1:34 p.m., police received a report of a dog in a car unattended at 414 W. Main St. No dog was found.
Officers removed a tree from the road at 2:20 a.m. at 670th Street and 580th Avenue, Ellsworth.
Another tree was removed from the road at 2:41 a.m. Maple and South streets.
Police took a tree out of the road at 2:44 a.m. at N5173 730th St., Ellsworth.
A large tree was found in the roadway at 2:50 a.m. at Oak and Kinne streets. The village was contacted.
At 8:27 a.m., a caller reported a tree on a powerline at Piety and Viola streets.
Police assisted Pierce County deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol with a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at 5:51 p.m. at highways 10 and 63.
Isaiah Townsend, 21, Hager City, was arrested for possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for expired registration at 8:20 p.m. Main and Piety streets.
At 9:31 p.m., a caller reported a barking dog at 137 N. Maple St. When police arrived, the dog was inside the residence. The owner was warned.
At 10:07 p.m., police found Silly String on the bathroom walls at Summit Park (100 W. Grove St.)
Thursday, Aug. 4
After River Falls police transported a woman from Econo Lodge (1207 St. Croix St., River Falls) to her house in Ellsworth, they located a white residue in the seat where she had been sitting that tested positive for meth. Ellsworth police assisted in her arrest.
Bruce Cha, 32, River Falls, was arrested for a probation violation at 11:41 a.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Todd Longsdorf, 57, Hager City, was arrested for a probation violation at 3:01 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Friday, Aug. 5
Police watched a man on a bike at 12:22 p.m. cut in front of a truck near Main and Bay streets. Police attempted to speak with him, but he continued to ride his bike around buildings in the East End before going in his residence. He refused to come out.
Saturday, Aug. 6
While on patrol at 1:08 a.m., an officer found smashed glass in the parking lot at 707 N. Maple St.
An anonymous caller reported an intoxicated man yelling and starting trouble at 7:37 p.m. in the back parking lot of 271 E. Summit Ave. Police didn’t locate the man.
At 8:26 p.m., police were asked to perform a welfare check on a woman talking to herself at 325 W. Main St. When police arrived, she left, walked through Century Saloon out the back door toward Subway. She refused to stop and talk with police. The bartender gave police her backpack, which they took to the police station.
Police assisted Pierce County deputies with a domestic that occurred at 11:52 p.m. at the campground behind the Gas Lite (W8941 Highway 10, Ellsworth).
Sunday, Aug. 7
A caller reported a bike theft at 2:07 a.m. from in front of 258 ½ Broadway Ave. The bike was a black Haro F3 with blue markings.
At 2:26 p.m., a caller reported an assault that had taken place at 463 E. Wall St.
A caller reported a child locked in a running vehicle at 6:47 p.m. at 290 N. Maple St. When police arrived, the child was rolling the window up and down. The dad said he had stopped to pick up food and didn’t think it would take so long. He was advised not to leave children in the car.
Officers were asked to report at 7:36 p.m. to 191 Evergreen Estates St. for a drunk and disorderly person. Police made contact with Chace Williams, 27, Ellsworth, who said he was just hanging out listening to music. He was warned to keep to himself, but police had to go back and arrested him for disorderly conduct and a probation violation.
At 10:59 p.m., a caller reported a possible intruder under her deck at 285 E. Summit Ave. No one was located.
