May 4 9:09 a.m.
A subject requested a liquor license for employment at a local business. Background check approved.
2:40 p.m.
A vehicle was unlocked in the 400 block of E. Business Way.
5:45 p.m.
An officer spoke with a subject in the 200 block of W. Summit Ave. about licensing their dogs. 7:37 p.m.
An officer received a complaint in the 300 block of W. Main St. that referenced a previous case. After speaking with both parties involved, the suspect was warned again for his behavior and told if problems continue, further action will be taken. May 5 5:01 p.m.
A vehicle was disabled west of the stop lights on W. Main St. The owner removed the vehicle the following day. When checked, the vehicle was legally parked on the shoulder of the road. 7:16 p.m.
An officer observed a small child on Woodworth St. near Piety St. by himself. After following him down Strickland St. to the 200 block of S. Grant St., contact was made with his father. He was advised of what was observed. He stated he was trying to catch up to an older sibling on a bike and they were supposed to be keeping an eye on him. It should be noted that a motorist pointed to the child in the area of Woodworth and Piety when driving past.
May 6 7:52 p.m.
An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Main St. for a juvenile riding his bike in the middle of the road. Upon checking the area, the officer was unable to locate the juvenile on the bike.
May 7 12:42 p.m.
A subject requested a liquor license for employment at a local business. The background check was approved.
8:55 p.m.
An officer was advised of an incident that happened earlier in the evening, where a female living at a residence in the 100 block of N. Maple St. had run out and was yelling and had jumped on a car that was trying to leave the residence. Upon speaking with the subject, it was learned their boyfriend’s mother was not well and she wanted to go with him. The subject questioned why the officer was just responding, and was advised that it had just been called in. The subject was informed that any further actions that occur, such as the ones tonight, would result in citations being issued.
9:40 p.m.
An officer responded to the 100 block of Evergreen Estates for a complaint of possible underage drinkers. Upon arriving on scene and making contact with a group of individuals, only one subject was drinking and was of age. No one else smelled of alcohol or was drinking.
10:39 p.m.
An officer responded to a noise complaint in the 200 block of E. Summit Ave. Loud music was heard, along with voices. A subject came to the door and stated they were having a diaper party and agreed to turn the music down.
May 8 12:11 a.m.
An officer made contact with a caller who reported finding a birthday card for a residence in the 100 block of Beulah St. The subject was advised to drop the card into the village hall drop box.
12:42 p.m.
An officer received two complaints of a subject outside his residence in the 400 block of E. Main St. yelling profanities at his grandkids. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the subject who stated he was talking to a person in a car in the alley and the kids were going around it. The subject stated that due to traffic, he yelled at the kids to get inside. The subject stated he has had two strokes in the past and cannot control the vulgar language. The subject was warned.
7:55 p.m.
An officer took a report of a possibly stolen vehicle. The subject stated their sister had the car in St. Paul and was with associates and she had jumped out of the car, then went to the hospital for separate reasons. The subject stated that her sister and her dad are both on the title. The subject stated that their sister was impaired at the time and is not exactly sure what happened; but, she does know who has the vehicle and stated they would be returning the vehicle to her address in Ellsworth. As of the time of the call, the vehicle had not been returned to the residence and the subjects who had the vehicle stopped responding to the subject’s sister. The officer advised the subject to get the contact information for the parties that have the vehicle to the PD and an officer would attempt contact. The St. Paul PD had already been contacted and stated it is a civil matter and to contact the local PD. The subject was advised there was not enough information to enter the vehicle as stolen.
8:35 p.m.
An officer spoke to a resident in the 900 block of Hilden Dr. about a bike being kicked. The bike did appear to be standing and on his girlfriend’s property from a video that was shown. The officer spoke with the subject who kicked the bike. After watching a video from the subject’s family’s camera, the bike was laying down on their side of the driveway. The subject was advised to pick the bike up next time instead of kicking it. After speaking to all parties, they were all advised that if issues continue, citations may be issued from now on as the issue between the parties has been ongoing.
May 9 12:48 a.m.
An officer assisted for a possible accident on 860th St. near Hwy. 10.
9:47 a.m.
An officer was called near the intersection of Kinne St. and Maple St. for a disturbance. The subjects were questioned; no law enforcement action was needed.
10:28 a.m.
A subject reported damage to their car in the 400 block of E. Main St.
9:22 p.m.
An officer assisted EMS and PCSO restraining a subject in an ambulance prior to transport after responding near the intersection of 530th St. and 570th Ave. for a suspicious activity call. The complainant stated a vehicle had been parked at the intersection for over an hour. Upon arriving on scene, a male passenger was observed with a beer bottle between his legs and the music was very loud. As the officer walked back to his car, the car’s engine began to rev up. The officer was then able to wake up the subject and speak to him until a deputy arrived on scene. The subject sped away and ended up crashing approximately a mile away.
11:36 p.m.
An officer assisted on an assault that took place elsewhere in the county.
May 10 3:39 p.m.
An officer started the process of entering a vehicle as stolen after collecting statement forms and other information from two subjects.
