Ellsworth Police Department reports: April 21-27, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department April 21-27, 2025.

Monday, April 21

  • Police received a shoplifting complaint at 4:13 p.m. at 181 E. Main St. Ashley Rose Blodgett, 33, Ellsworth, was cited for theft and trespassed from the store.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County with a possible overdose at 6:16 p.m.at W7377 Highway 10.
  • At 7:44 p.m., police received a dumping complaint at 707 N. Brown St. The subject was unaware he couldn’t leave things there and removed the couch he left.
  • A business alarm went off at 9:55 p.m. at 312 Industrial Road. The building was secure. Police returned for another alarm at 11:55 p.m. All the doors were secure.

 

Tuesday, April 22

  • Officers responded to another false alarm at 12:58 a.m. at 312 Industrial Road.
  • Police assisted EMS at 9;23 a.m. at 301 N. Maple St.
  • At 6:16 p.m., police received a complaint of someone going door-to-door to sell roofing and general construction contracts near Beulah and Kinne streets. A man with the company Dabella wasn’t aware he needed a sellers permit.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 8:05 p.m. at 440 E. Pleasant Ave. Everyone was fine.
  • At 8:31 p.m., someone stole $35-$40 of product at 456 W. Main St.
  • Joseph Allen Farris, 17, Ellsworth, struck a building at 9:20 p.m. at 264 W. Main St.
  • Police checked on an alarm at 11:31 p.m. at 312 Industrial Road. All doors were secure.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County Jail staff with someone pulling on the lobby doors at 11:42 p.m. at 555 W. Overlook Drive.

 

Wednesday, April 23

  • At 1:32 p.m., police assisted a man with a property retrieval at 112 Evergreen Estates St. The resident wanted the exchange to happen on Friday.
  • Laura Lasha Dodd, 32, Prescott, was arrested for a probation hold at 1:44 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
  • At 3:06 p.m., police received word that a stop sign had been knocked over at Maple and Elm streets. Public Works was notified.
  • A missing child was reported at 8:44 p.m. at 163 W. Warner St. The child returned before police arrived.

 

Thursday, April 24

  • Police found a vehicle alarm going off at 3:44 a.m. at 137 N. Oak St. The vehicle was secure and appeared to be fine, but it had false plates on it.
  • A loose dog was found at 8:47 a.m. at 101 N. Maple St. It was returned to its owner, Randi Mae Piper, 35, Ellsworth, who was then arrested for Department of Corrections and St. Croix warrants.
  • At 12:29 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious person near mailboxes at Cairns and Evergreen Estates streets. No one was found.
  • At 12:46 p.m., a theft was reported at 181 E. Main St. Charges weren’t pursued, but the woman was trespassed from the store.
  • Police were called at 3:11 p.m. to 1303 Debra St. for someone who had died.
  • Kristyn Kayla Renier, 18, Oronoco, Minn., drove away from 456 W. Main St. with the gas pump still attached to the vehicle at 8:14 p.m. The workers advised they have replacement nozzles. The vehicle had no damage.

Friday, April 25

  • Jackson James Merrill Jr., 18, Ellsworth, was cited for possession of a vape on school grounds at 9:34 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
  • Dean Wiesender, 89, Ellsworth, was cited for failure to obey traffic sign after his vehicle became stuck in the mud in the construction zone on North Grant Street at 10:56 a.m. He had to be towed out.
  • At 2:02 p.m., a resident at 437 W. Nelson St. reported her ex-husband pulled up in front of her house and threw property into her yard. Police spoke to him and he said she’d left clothes at his house. He said she needed to have everything out that day. He was advised to stay away from her house.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County with a domestic at 4:27 p.m. at County Road DD and Highway 10.
  • Julian Perez Campo, 34, Ellsworth, was cited for operate without valid license and operating motor vehicle without insurance after he struck a parked car at 5:22 p.m. at 157 E. Main St.
  • Police conducted a welfare check on someone who was crying at 9:43 p.m. at 454 High Point Drive.

 

Saturday, April 26

  • Police assisted EMS at 10:52 a.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave.
  • Police assisted EMS at 5:03 p.m. at 141 S. Maple St.
  • At 6:19 p.m. a complainant reported damage to both the driver’s and passenger’s mirrors of a vehicle at 445 S. Piety St.
  • Officers assisted PCSO with a disorderly arrestee at 6:45 p.m. at 555 W. Overlook Drive.

 

Sunday, April 27

  • Emily Jo Miller, 21, Elmwood, was arrested for OWI after a traffic stop for crossing the center line at 3:09 a.m. at highways 10 and 63.
  • Suspicious activity was reported at 4:10 a.m. at 463 E. Wall St.
  • At 11:24 a.m., a woman at 136 N. Beulah St. reported that her husband smashed out her vehicle window after he assaulted her at a bar. Pierce County deputies arrested him.
  • At 8:37 p.m., police spoke with a subject regarding civil issues with neighbors at 293 E. Summit Ave. They advised they were in the process of moving.
